Last year WWE had most of the worst shows with Battleground winning out thanks to awful Jinder Mahal things.

Worst Major Show

  1. WWE Crown Jewel 21
  2. WWE Greatest Royal Rumble 11
  3. WWE Backlash 5
  4. Progress Chapter 65 2
  5. AAA Verano de Escandalo 2
  6. Wrestlemania 1
  7. wXw WTTL N3 1
  8. CZW Nineteen 1
  9. WWE Fastlane 1

This year WWE’s Crown Jewel was an easy win. From being announced with people in a salty mood about the cash show that was the Greatest Royal Rumble already and the total absence of women on those shows. Things escalated with the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the Saudi involvement in that. WWE pushed ahead anyway. And the show….wow. The World Cup tournament culminated in Shane McMahon besting Dolph Ziggler to win, despite not being in the tournament to begin with. Brock Lesnar squashed Braun Strowman, putting the final nail in him for 2018, forcing the company to rebuild him. And finally DX, with Shawn Michaels coming out of retirement for the money, against Undertaker & Kane going on for nearly 30 minutes in a dire main event.
