5. TIE PAC vs. Kzy, Jordan Devlin vs. Shane Strickland

Since leaving WWE PAC has been a constant let down, either being character heavy affairs or overly long draws. Enter Kzy to give PAC his best performance of years.

No spoilers but this isn’t going to be the only time Jordan Devlin will be on this list.

3. TIE Kento Miyahara vs. Suwama, WWE Championship Elimination Chamber

I am actually quite surprised both these matches got as high as they did. I will admit to having not seen Miyahara/Suwama but our very own Alex is calling it his match of the year, high praise indeed.

The Elimination Chamber match is interesting, it was on the most ballots but no one had it above second place. The match itself was fantastic, and it made me invested in a Kofi Kingston main event run in 2019. Unreal.

2. Veit Muller vs. WALTER

As someone that doesn’t follow wXw as closely as he should, I had never heard of Veit until this match. And what a star making match this was. These two had an absolute war and even though Muller lost he became a made man in the company.

1 Jordan Devlin vs. David Starr

Jordan Devlin was the best wrestler in 2018 that not enough people talked about. From his run as the import killer to the incredible run with WALTER, no one could touch Devlin. This entire feud between Devlin and Starr has been some of the best stuff going in wrestling, not just from a mechanical point of view but from sheer emotion, and that’s what this match was.
